This is a tricky subject to get into, a subject TechTwentyTwo doesn't take lightly, but something that is paramount in the forward motion of the web today, the DDA has been enforced but there no real legislation as of yet, how can you prepare for something that has no real meaning, It's like using jumpers for goal posts at sea.
The main problem I am confronted with personally is this,
I'm fairly healthy, have 20 20 vision and have complete use of all limbs, with this in mind, how can I, or any web based software tell whether it will work for everyone, well it can't, all that can be done is to do the best we can, and follow already implemented techniques that work and keep abreast of this constantly changing landscape, welcome to our world !!
TechTwentyTwo was set up primarily because there is a distinct lack of "quality" web sites being produced in our area, yes there are big companies, yes they're well established, but so what, if all they produce is second rate stuff, We could have just worked for one of them and got a regular wage making regular web sites, no thanks. The new breed is here, armed with web standards, valid XHTML , a pocket full of CSS and a little thought on accessibility ....... step aside !
